Sophisticated mobile phones are in Control By Eye

Japanese mobile operator NTT DoCoMo says the system is still a prototype, but will provide a new perspective in using the phone the next few years.

"In the future, phones will be used as accessories," said company spokesman.

"We are excited to find patterns among the human face of natural body movement and a better way to interact with these devices to be compatible with future use."

The eye has a positive electrical potential in the cornea and negative in the retina. This potential change depending on the movement of both eyeballs.
The system works even when one's eyes closed.

Special electrodes attached to a pair of earphones have the ability to take the movement of the eyeball it.

Earphones electrodes can read the amendment, and is known as elektrooculogram and phone re-programmed by translating information into commands.

So a user can make or receive calls, as easy as moving the eye to the right, left and back right again.

Music stored in the phone can be played or detained by using the movement of the eyeball. Eye shifts to the right and left will play a song or dismiss. While moving to the right eye and then to the right will continue to the next song.

The volume can be increased by moving the eyes upward and to the right and then down and left and shrink the volume by moving the eye opposite the clockwise direction.
